09 Oct Office for Benham and Reeves, London and international premium estate agency at Grand Union, London
It has been an honour to work on Benham and Reeves’s twentieth London office in a development by Berkeley Homes’ St Georges Developers in Alperton behind the iconic Ace Café called Grand Union.
Grand Union is a vibrant new canal-side neighbourhood by St George. Located in Alperton, close to Wembley with great connections to the City and West End.
Enjoy a waterside piazza with cafes, restaurants, bars and a community centre at its heart. With 14 acres of high-quality open space including landscaped gardens, riverside meadows, waterside pathways, Grand Union will be a unique waterside destination to live, work and relax.
We designed the office space, working with the clients and developers and taking into account stringent fire, health and safety, electrical, AC, lighting, noise, heating, façade, fire alarm and planning controls in a concrete shell space. Designing an office for seven people with an accessible toilet was intensive yet enjoyable.
Project stages included – initial site visit, meetings with all services and contractors, surveys, supplying initial designs and then translating them into technical drawings for all services and the developers for approval. The design included use of fire safety materials and services.
The build phase was around five months and we are pleased to say that it is now complete and they have started using the office.
