The client approached us with the intention of achieving a minimalistic space in a small office. We advised and agreed on a colour palette of soft whites, grey and wooden accents to bring warmth to the office. By exposing the right wall of the office and highlighting some of the furniture pieces we created more openness in a small space. Oak wooden flooring helped in tying the space together with wooden furniture pieces. We used some of the original furniture that they had and changed to tables and chairs with space-economising chairs to make the office appear light, open and airy. By making these changes we were able to take advantage of the large windows both as a source of light and being a design feature in themselves by framing the light. All of these helped to create an office space which met our client’s expectations.
